Upon first reading "Consequences", I felt as if I had been hit with a bomb, and never saw the approaching vehicle of delivery. Like a Stealth Aircraft delivering said bomb, such is Author Aleatha Romig. Stealth Aircraft make it difficult for conventional radar to detect the aircraft successfully, increasing the odds of a successful attack. I was a conventional reader. Aleatha Romig is a Stealth Bomber. She, my friends, successfully attacks in her book, "Consequences. "Consequences" is not a conventional book and, as I found out, not for the weak of heart. Aleatha Romig's twists and turns of events is mindblowing, to say the least. Just when you think that a chapter has a predictible end, she completely turns the events in such a manner that you are, quite literally, sitting aghast wondering "what the hell just happened?" I am in awe of her writing because, as it is quite twisted, it leaves you wanting more. You begin to question your own psyche as you find it difficult to put the book down. You feel like an addict when you look for an opportunity to read "just one chapter, really!" You turn into a night owl when you see that it is, now, 3:00 a.m. and you can't leave Claire to the devices of Tony Rawlings. This, my friends, is Aleatha Romig's "MO". She sees you approaching her book, she knows you are unaware of the tale she has spun within the cover, she imagines you opening the book and - BAM!! - she drops the bomb of that first chapter!! You are then, done for. My sympathies are with you. I, too, am a victim, as are four of my family members, The B&B Book Review that started as a result of our endless conversations of Tony and Claire, and the endless (really, endless!) friends and family that I have told of her books. I, truly, believe that Aleatha Romig is a great writer. I was honored to review "Consequences", and the link is at the top of this page. I am happy to be part of this Blog Tour and I am thrilled to have gotten to know Aleatha. She is a genuinely kind person (not at all like Tony, thank God!) I look forward to many more books in her writing future!
